About ADL In Concert Against Hate
ADL In Concert Against Hate honors heroes in the fight against intolerance, extremism, and terrorism. The ADL Concert tells the stories of people who have performed extraordinary acts of courage and compassion when confronted by hatred and bigotry. These are individuals who would not stand by while others were the targets of injustice. We also tell the stories of people who were themselves targets of hate, including those who have lost their lives in this struggle.
The first ADL Concert was held in 1995 as a special event to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of the Holocaust. The concert honored the memory of four individuals who are recognized as “Righteous Among the Nations”—non-Jews who rescued Jews from the Nazis during the Holocaust. Response to the concert was so strong that what was intended to be a one-time experience was transformed into an annual tradition, which brings thousands together to be inspired by the stories of heroes and to stand up against all forms of bigotry, injustice and extremism.
Kay Family Award Dinner
The Kay Family Award is bestowed annually upon the heroes honored at the ADL In Concert Against Hate. It recognizes individuals for extraordinary acts of courage and compassion in confronting intolerance and injustice, antisemitism and bigotry, extremism and hatred. To date, 133 people have received the award.
Prior to the ADL In Concert Against Hate, ADL hosts a celebratory dinner for the honorees, their families, and key community partners, supporters, and leaders who stand together against hate.
Registration and ticket pick-up will open at 5:30 PM ET, with the dinner beginning at 6:00 PM ET sharp. Details regarding location and logistics will be emailed to registrants ahead of the event.
